"I work with rural students in one of the poorest counties in Missouri. Our school population (K-12) is around 290 students." Without outside training, Connie wouldn't have been able to lead her students in independent science research programs. SSP made it possible for her students to compete in science fairs, one of whom is now "employed at a national environmental science research laboratory while attending college this year."
Help Make Technology Available
"Science research isn't just something for a professor in a university or an engineer in a laboratory. I have mentored, along with my husband, our own daughter and her teammates as they pursued research topics traditionally thought only the province of "rocket scientists." All of the students learned vital, practical science research skills, like programming and astronomy."
